SLAB UNDER PLUMBING
Many homes nowadays are built on concrete slabs. Prior to pouring the concrete, the plumbing pipes are laid in the dirt. This allows for your tubs, toilets, and other drains in your home to drain down, under the slab, and out into your main sewer line or septic tank. This is referred to Slab Under Plumbing.

ROUGH IN PLUMBING
Rough in plumbing is the plumbing work that must take place prior to closing up your walls and ceilings. This takes place when the home is in it’s framing stage. Based on measurements from plans and specifications from fixtures, water lines, drain lines, vent piping, and major fixtures, such as tub units, are installed in place. It is vital to secure the plumbing to prevent movement and loose fixtures. After installation, a test is put on the water and drain systems using water and pressure to insure there are no leaks or issues with the rough in plumbing

TRIM OUT PLUMBING
Trim out plumbing takes place after the interior of the house begins to come together. Drywall is up, cabinets and counter tops have been installed, and a coat of paint has already been put on. Trim out plumbing consists of the installation of the fixtures you are familiar with, such as toilets, faucets, and water heater. Once all fixtures have been trimmed out, water can be connected to the house and at the water source, to test out the trim out plumbing that was installed. Once connected and tested, the plumbing will be ready for normal use.
